Claire McKevitt (b. 2003) is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Midwest. Her art serves as a testament to the power of memory and how nostalgia can shape our understanding of the past, taking what’s buried within and making it tangible. It challenges viewers to reflect on their relationship with consumer culture and reconsider how they position themselves within it. Through her work, she creates a contemporary critique of American consumerism, asking viewers to reflect on shared experiences and memories and offering spaces for them to connect not only with her but with each other.
